On this page you will find out all the information you will need if you intend to pay us a visit, including our opening times, prices and maps of our exact location.

Last year we were assessed by VAQAS (VisitBritain’s Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service) and were awarded the accreditation of ‘Quality Assured Visitor Attraction’.  

 

For 2008 The Sanctuary has "restructured" its opening hours.  

We are no longer open on Sundays and will now only open on Fridays and Saturdays  11:00am - 5:00pm (4:00pm during the month of October) until the end of October.   We will then be open on Saturdays only until the 13th December.

Please note that we are no longer open on Monday, except during school holidays!

HOWEVER, we will also be opening on the following dates:

Every Bank Holiday weekend Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday.

Every day during the Northumberland school holidays, as follows:

Easter holiday Friday 4th April - Sunday 20th April
Summer mid-term  Friday 23rd May - Sunday 1st June
Summer holiday Friday 25th July - Sunday 7th September
Autumn mid-term  Friday 24th October - Sunday 2nd November

The Sanctuary will thereafter be closed for the winter. 

 

Admission Prices:

Our admission prices will remain at our 2007 rates

Adults £5.00.   Children/Concessions £4.00.    Under 2's free

Family ticket £16.00 (2 adults, 2 children)

Due to popular demand, this year we are offering an annual loyalty pass for families.

The cost of this will be:

2 adults £40
Family of 2 with 2 children £64

These passes will enable couples and families to visit as many times as they wish during normal opening hours until The Sanctuary closes on the 13th December 2008.

These passes will not be transferable,  The person named on the card must be present on admission and will be requested to sign our visitor book to confirm identity.

 

The Sanctuary Wildlife Care Centre is located in the village of Ulgham, 3 miles north of Morpeth on the B1337.     It is signed from the village and on the coastal route (A1068).
