We do not have any photographs of the first party due to flat batteries in the digital camera, for which the webmaster can only apologise profusely! The children, however, had a wonderful time. Some had their faces painted, so there were lots of witches and vampires scurrying around and some played the terrifying treasure trail where they had to follow the clues to the animals and collect gruesome things like eyeballs, dead men's ears, skeleton hands, rats, creepy crawly insects (need we say more?)! Then they played a game of "Wrap the Mummy" (always popular) and a dancing game of "Bat, Cat or Witch" before going indoors for their meal. Then they all enjoyed meeting Monty the snake before collecting their horrible loot bags and heading for home. The older children also had their faces painted and took part in the terrifying treasure trail. They then played the gruesome game of 'find the rat (eyeball, bat etc) in the witches cauldron" - a particularly horrible game, which they mostly all seemed to enjoy! The cauldron was full of cold porridge - have you any idea how horrible and slimy it feels?? Then they played a game of "Pass the mummy's hand" by using knees along a row, which caused a great deal of hilarity from both adults and children. Then indoor for a meal, followed by a meeting with Monty. Then we all went outside in the dark for our spooky night safari, searching for bats and owls and finding 3 horrible monsters lurking in the dark to frighten us! Fortunately at least one parent did have fully charged batteries in their camera and we hope the following photographs sent to us reflect how much fun the children had.
