We would like to thank
Gill Jones and her beautiful Supreme Dream Champion Miniature Horses who
spent a day in Morpeth fundraising for us. She raised the magnificent sum
of £580!!!
Gill will be
at Heighley Gate Garden Centre on Saturday 11th April - why not go along and
meet her delightful horses?

Once again we would like
to thank the villagers of Felton who held another coffee morning on Saturday the 28th
February and raised £60 for us.

We would like to thank a
group of adventurous young girls from Amble who did a sponsored walk in their
pyjamas to raise money for our animals.
Standing from the left we
have Ellie Brown, Eva Davis and Carly Jones and sitting from left to right we
have Molly Mooney and Ashleigh Hogarth, who all walked from Amble to Warkworth
and back to raise money for us.
Their walk started in Amble
Town Square, up the High Street and along the river to Warkworth. They
then walked around the castle and Warkworth village and back along the river
bank ending up where they started in Town Square and they did all this wearing
their pyjamas and carrying their teddy bears!!
Well done girls!!

The walk took them 2 hours
and they raised the magnificent sum of £165 for us. The owners, staff and
animals at The Sanctuary would like to thank them very much for this wonderful
gesture.

We would like to thank
the villagers of Felton who have twice held a coffee morning to raise funds for
us.
The first was held in
October 2007, to help us to raise money to build an over-wintering pen for the 2 red
squirrels which were brought to us in July, in order that they could be cared
for over the winter period and given a soft release in the spring.
This was a real
"money making" drive and the magnificent sum of £280 was raised by
tea and coffee drinking, a raffle, a bring and buy stall, a home baking stall
and donations from people who for one reason or another could not
attend. This was a huge help in the very expensive costs of wood and
mesh to build their pen.
In February 2008 (at very
short notice!) they held a 'normal' coffee morning - a much quieter but still
very enjoyable affair and raised the excellent sum of £80.
Tea and coffee drinkers
of Felton - we thank you and so do the animals who benefit from your kindness!!!
